Doctorate Transcript

After the successful completion of the doctorate philGRAD members can receive an official certificate (named Doctorate Transcript). The Transcript confirms the membership in philGRAD and furthermore all completed key qualification workshops for future employers.

The Transcript can also include further activities undertaken during the doctorate that are related to improve the candidate’s qualifications. For example: teaching experience, visitings of congresses and conferences, held performances and presentations, posted publications, prices, honors and scholarships and similar activities.

For better understanding you are given a sample to the right that might help you to imagine, how a certain qualifications overview could look like.

Request Form and Completion

We use a undefinedrequest form to obtain the information required for the transcript from the postdoctoral researchers. The request form must be filled out in consultation with the supervisor team or, if the candidate belongs to a structured doctoral programme, with the relevant coordinating instance, and emailed back to the philGRAD Office.

Please make sure, that all entries are only made via PC. Furthermore please just use the prepared text boxes and stick to the form given in the examples, so that we can create your Transcript quickly and without any complications.

We recommend that you start collecting the relevant information needed for your Transcript very early, even if the date of your final exam will be some time in the future. Keeping your request form up to date already during your doctorate will make getting your Transcript a lot faster and easier.

Please keep at hand, without any exceptions, appropriate certificates of all of your listed qualifications. For workshops and courses keep your official certificates. For performances, presentations and other informal qualifications it is, in individual cases, sufficient that you keep specific mails or other written verifications that are able to work as an unquestionable proof to us that you achieved the qualification.

To receive the Doctorate Transcript after your doctoral studies, the obligations to philGRAD must have been complied at all times.

Such as

  • having entered a supervision agreement with a selected philGRAD supervision team
  • continuous documentation of the annual supervision meetings
  • one-time participation in a workshop "good scientific practice"
